Default Scion paint warranty?

I'm about to come up to my one year mark with my car and today when I was cleaning it getting it ready for a car show I noticed, that on my trunk, the paint is cracking. Not a chip, not a scratch, just straight cracking. I put my finger and nail over it to see if I feel something but nothing, so it's under the clear coat. I tried to find info on paint warranty but nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

It should fall under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty...

Yea, im going to head into the dealer and get them to check it out. Wasn't noticeable at the car show last night because it was dark, but can't have my tc looking ugly lol.

Hey Obie, like MeatRocket said, it's normal wear and tear so it most likely will not be covered warranty. You could always sweet talk them into fixing it though. Otherwise, touch up paint is your best shot. If that fails...hard brake while someone is tailgating you..jk.

Yea, the normal wear and tear on the front end is annoying, but my cracking is happening on the trunk. It's a spot right on the top, below the clear coat just cracking almost like a web shape.

From the way you're describing the damage, it seems like it was hit with something that did not penetrate the clear coat but, instead, cracked the interior. If that's the case, I'm not sure if warranty will cover possible vandalism. You wouldn't happen to have pictures?

I'll take pictures in the AM and post them. But like I said in the OP, I ran my finger and nail on top of the spot where it's cracking and felt nothing. It's just cracked paint. It's right in the middle of my trunk, on top about an inch below where the glass hatch meets the actual trunk. In any case I'll get it looked at lol. Again pics up in the AM. Thanks for the replies though
