Default Fog Light Switch Question.

I installed the Oznium lighted switch for my fogs tonight on my 2006.5 TCM xB. Whe I did the install I followed the instructions on Club xB to run them independantly... ( Found Here, http://www.clubxb.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12605) When I installed the switch if there is a wire connected to the #3 terminal it either stays light all the time, even when the car is off, or it never lights up. However, when I leave the #3 terminal unhooked and just hook the green wire into the switch and ground it to the car it works justs fine, as in it lights up only when the fogs are on. My question is this, should I be worried about that disconnected terminal?
