Whats the factory tint?

What percent is the factory tint on a scion tc. My rear and trunk windows came tinted and i want to match the front widows to the rest of the car

my car has a toyota sticker on it that has 32% as the tint.

you should get it measured...i have the factory tint and it is indeed 32% when first installed. i got it measured at the performance shop I go to sometimes and in 7 months it had faded to 49%. the tint they put on is complete ____ and they wont warranty it because it isnt ripped or peeled :<

i dont think its 32% ....u cant really look inside unless u kind of put ur face up in it/ maybe its not factory and the previous owner installed it. but since i bought the car in california where tinting is illegal maybe they didnt tint the front windows because they didnt wanna have problems.

im going to a tinting shop tomorrow, maybe they can tell me

It is 32% and it was port installed on my car as i was the original buyer. The stickers are on each window to show that it was port installed. my wifes tc was not port installed but done at the dealer when we got it and does not have the stickers. It also depends on the state you get your car in as well. we got both of ours in NC and 35% + or - 3% was the limit. Some states are less and some are more.

^^exactly...mine port installed as well. i took the stickers off the window but left the one on the back hatch in case any cop or someone wanted to try n harass me for it. NC sux with window tinting

I wanna say its 60% tint here in Louisiana. Need to get mine redone down to 35%...

I doubt mine was factory installed then. Im at the tint shop right now and the guy said its limo tint

no it was def not factory...at least in NC, limo tint is very illegal so theres no way a car company would put it on

The laws here in nevada arent strict about it because of the heat. Right now we're reaching 105 degrees. It helps keep ur car cool inside

In TX anything is allowed on the rear and hatch windows, the driver and passenger have to be 25% or higher. I guess they understand how hot it gets living in a desert.

Ohio requires 50% VLT on the front sides. Pretty much everyone with any aftermarket tint up front is illegal. :^( Anything else is okay on the back windows.

It has been over 92 degrees everyday, in Ohio for the last month!

yea its hot everywhere it seems...today was the coolest day in about a week n a half and it topped out at 99

I wish it was in the 90s here in El Paso. We've been hitting triple digits for the past couple of weeks. The 20% tint I have looks legal but is only off by 5%.
