Default HOW TO: Paint the interior pieces

Hi everyone. I just traded my 2009 XD for a 2012 XD and I hate the interior plastic pieces... I want to paint them and am having a hard time finding a step by step or tutorial that goes through the process correctly. Does anyone know?

Yea, I'll post pics of mine and see how you like it. If you do then I'll explain. It's very easy. Sand to make smooth, spray paint, then fine sand it, spray paint primer, then spray paint your color selection a second coat, then the spray enamel gloss finish. Mine turned out awesome. Had lots of compliments.

Have you searched the internet? 2345443 google results in less than 2 seconds. Youtube also has video tutorials.

I'm not a pro but have had good luck with the break cleaner approach to strip and open the pores in the plastic. I'm not sure of the comparability with all of the diff types of plastic in the xD but has done well with the ford's and Chevrolet that I've done body work on. As always, test on the inside of a a panel before you go nuts on expensive pieces.

Another candidate for Plastidip and it's reversible! Something to think about.
