No they were cut out, the tabe on the back side were cut off, it looks better and flows better with my car.

It was one of the first mods i did, hated those plastic things, made it long 10X better without them.

i agree it thought they were pretty stupid as well. thats why the first thing i did was put in DRLs. seemed like a good spot for either air vents or lights. not small plastic inserts that serve no purpose whatsoever.
