Default Replaced rear reflectors with brake lights...

My rear reflectors have been removed and replace with red LED brake / tail lights. Mike (atomicmojo) did a great write up on how to convert the stock reflectors with the boil, bake and glue method but I was just too damn lazy. I ordered the lights from eBay for 35.00 and wired them up yesterday.

The lights are a direct replacement for the reflectors on the iQ. They offer the ability to be used as tail lights, brake lights or both. I chose to wire mine up as just brake lights. They are very bright and the install was simple.

Now THAT will definitely get some attention of persons behind you!

Have you considered the flashing third brake light? Or in this case... what ever enumeration you prefer now that you have five.

Alright already, I've got the window visors and shark fin antena. What's the link at ebay to get the led lights to replace the reflectors so I can catch up?

for a moron like me that has no wiring experience whatsoever, is this install as easy as just splicing into the rear brake wire and tying these two in there? would like to add this to my iq.

It easy to wire these up. The directions come with the item. Rather than wiring the units to both sides of the brake lights it is easier to run them together to the driver side brake light. There is more room and slack in the wire to make your connections.
