I'm an idiot when it comes to electrical wiring. What I'm wanting to do is make an addition to the interior LED lights I already have by wiring 2 lights onto the inside of the back hatch door of my xD via the license plate lights. Basically, I want the interior of the trunk space to lightly glow blue only when the running lights are on. I assumed that the license plate lights would be the best thing to wire them into. If anyone has a better idea to power my little LEDs, let me know.

But basically, I wanted to know if anyone has done this before and if they like the idea. And, I wondered if someone could give me a simple step by step of how to wire the LEDs into the license plate lights through the access panel on the hatch door. They are little 12v LEDs, 2 of them.

And, if anyone is feeling nice enough to instruct me on wiring exterior LED running lights into my existing running lights, that'd be great too. That's my next project. As I said, I'm an electrical idiot!

 

Nevermind. I just dove in and figured out the wiring stuff. Wasn't bad at all. Looks great too!
