I've been searching this up and all I seem to get is 2nd Gen issues.

I have creaking/popping noises coming from the driver door area in a 1st Gen I just purchased. Happens when accelerating from a stop, etc. Is it a common thing for the 1st gens to have this issue and is there an accepted fix or stuff to check?

Ive got the same issue with the 06 I just bought, no luck tracking it down yet.

This is a video from my youtube junk....maybe it is the same solution for your popping sound coming from your door. I had the same problem on my 2005 Box....check it out.
