Default Bump Stop Trimming on Spring Installation

I recently installed Gold Lines, 2" drop. Is it necessary to trim the front strut bump stops? I didn't but I see now a recommendation to trim 1". Is this critical? Comments please. Thanks.

I'm running TRDs so I don't know much about the GLs. Here is a previous discussion about the GLs and bump stop trimming. Hope it helps: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/view...ight=bump+stop
Also, here is something directly from Goldline http://www.goldlineonline.com/installation_tips(10).htm

I never trimmed the bump stops on my struts. I have no problems.

Thanks, that's a good thread. Sounds like it's just an issue of bottoming out sooner than you would if you removed the inch. Guess I'll just take it easy until I can get back on it.
