Default Coil-overs vs. Springs Scion XB

Anyone experience the difference between coil-overs vs. springs. I have goldlines and was considering H&R coil overs. Is it worth it? Will the ride be any smoother?less rough?

H&R does not offer a coilover kit for the Scion ... They offer their Cup Kit with is a Shock and Spring combination ... It lowers the front 2.2" and the rear 1.8" ... The Shocks & Springs are NOT adjustable ...
