Default for cheap people only

Make your box quiet. Pull your back panels off where the speakers are located and the rear wiper panel just to the inside of the tag. Stuff it with foam or expand a foam in the can. It will get rid of panel flexing and vibrating tags from powerful subs. Also make exaust note lower inside the box your girl will love you for this.

you know what you should use? ...punctuation.

just messing, foam is great for vibration dampening. I recommend carpet padding.

Sheets of polyester batting (commonly used in upholstry and bed covers) comes on rolls that you can cut and fit to any space or size you need. It's available in different densities and it's pretty cheap.

Works really well too since its a very dense material.

Ok so I read it basically and I have thought about using Pink Panther insulation on my car. But he brought up the fact that it coudl get moldy etc if water gets to it.

Is this safe to use on the insides of our door. Like stuffing our door? Or should we just use it on the inside of the door where the door panel is?

I was going to use it wher ethe door panel was and stuff some on the inside of the door as well (but out of the way of the window so it can wind down)

Water gets down in the door panel. If you are worried about mold in the insulation, do not put it in the panel. Keep it between the blue vapor barrier and the interior door panel.

Timely post. I just put new rear speakers in my xb. I had just read these posts while taking a break. Had my wife p/u some polyester fil batting at the craft store. I stuffed it in the rear side panels and in the rear hatch. It actually does make a noticable difference! Had my daughter drive me around while I sat in the back seat and listened. Damn!! I sure love this xb!!!
