Default Boxer Rebellion's new tails

I used Max2k's technique to candy the inside of the cover, also painted/smoked the reflectors around the bulbs... What do ya think?

Painted my brakes too

My other ride...

Yeah i did. You can only see it when the light hits it a certain way, or when it's on at night of course (looks very cool lit up...)
I've actually taken em apart twice... I might do it one more time to smoke the outer edge of the covers (the part you see on the sides and top) and do some more stuff with the reflector areas.

I'm gonna take em apart one more time for a little more modding, and I might take the red cap off then. Is the candy red cover enough or do I need red bulbs too? Also, what's an easy way to take the cap thing off without breaking it?

Their are tabs on the cap. theyre pretty small. i just pulled them off and broke them anyways. i want the red top clear JDM lights MyBox offers

i have LED's in there. i used a red bulb before.

you can always trial and error. try out the clear bulbs. if you dont like the way they light up, go on over to your friendly auto parts store and get the red bulbs

down here i cant find those bulb numbers. i actually had to go to toyota and pay over 8 bucks for amber bulbs because one burned out

if you wanna go LED just for kicks, i got them here www.autolumination.com

I was just checking the autolumination 15 led bulb, looks quite interesting. I'm curious to know what people's experiences are with these... are they way brighter than stock?
ADDENDUM: Couldn't wait for reviews, just ordered them... Planning some additional mods to make the most of these led's.

the LED's have a sharper red. they are bright to me. but the reliability with them are great. just think this. a average LED will last 100,000 hours. Thats 11 years of constantly being on.

check the ice section i think for a full LED taillight mod using boards and stuff. looks neat but not for the solderly challenged

Yeah I actually like the red bulb cover thingie so I ordered the plain white 15 led bulbs to go under them, and I have some ideas to make the surrounding area of the taillight look cooler. Will post pics in a week or so.
