well besides saying the obvious of going to the dealer..

the stock radio's have had problems. you could always check the fuse for the radio, but i bet you'll check it and it'll be fine.. a few of us have been lucky to have the problems with the radio, I went through three until it was finally fixed..

there was someone last fall, I think, who had the problem of the radio not powering up, and it turned out it was bad..

looks like you'll have to take it to the dealer and when they can't power it up either, you'll get a new one..

Is this a stock unit? Why did you play with the wires in the first place?

See if you can load any cds, if you can, your 12volt constant (yellow for aftermarket) is fine: In which case your accessory wire (red " ") is bad, grounded out, or a fuse blew. If it doesn't, your 12 volt probably has some bare wire and it touched ground. If your unit is stock, take it to a dealer.

I know this hasn't been discussed since 6/3/05, but I have a similar problem. I’m just having hell with the audio in this car. First all 3 fuses for my subs die (2 on amp one in engine bay), replaced them, then the box breaks. I repair box and then amp blows. Now, waiting for my new amp under warranty, I’m riding stock. The head unit will not turn on at all. It was really random, I was driving and as I was pulling into my grandma's driveway, it declines first then levels out, and it’s like a bump I go over it and then it stopped working. The radio just shut off, it was really weird. I checked the fuses. If I'm not mistaken it’s a 30 amp fuse in the engine bay, red in color? It was good. I haven't check the wiring, but I won't. I'll be taking it to the dealer soon telling them that I did have a system in there, but this is my problem. Also I don't know if this is related. But the car charger in the center console (the cigarette lighter looking thing) Stop functioning the same day. So if anyone has any tips. Please help me out.

My stock HU just stopped working for me too. I was cutting the wires that went to my stock Bazooka sub and silly me i forgot to disconnect the ground wire to my battery and there was smoke from the wires for a split second. What do you guys think of this? I checked for a blown fuse but i don't really know what i am looking for. Lol. HELP PLEASE!!!

check the accessory fuse in the fuse box under the steering wheel. I think its #73 but I could be mistaken. Samething happened to me. Was doing stuff with my audio, connected the negative to open hatch, forgot to disconnect and some wires touched. should just be a blown fuse

you have to look in the fuse box...

and if you look at a fuse, if the metal piece inside of it is broken, then its blown

Yeah dude i looked in the fuse box. Do you know what amp it is? That might narrow it down a bit. Plus is it just a small fuse or one of the bigger ones?

I have finnaly found it. It was a 20amp in a yellow/green color under the hood. It was on the far right of the second row that is closest to the firewall. I hope this picture shows. If you go here there will be a picture to see which one i am talking about: http://tcover.net/tCover_Install_ManualComp_2_1.pdf. But now everything works fine. All i need now is another fuse just in case i need another one in the future.

I have the same problem with my radio. I guess one of the wires on my amp touched while I was taking my speakers out (even though the fuse was removed on my amp) and my head unit just shut off and won't turn on. I checked the fuse under the hood and it's fine...is there another fuse for the head unit anywhere? I need to solve this problem fast, I miss music. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Yeah in another thread there was talk of another fuse that is above the steering coloum. They had to manover themselves into the coloum in order to find it but at least you know it's there.
