Default I want Sylvania Sylverstar bulbs or luminics????

I know this topic has been beaten to death but i wanted to get HID kit but all that talk of fryin ur stock wiring has turned me away from it. So imma switch to sylvania's. So which should i get. It looks like Hyperwhites are the way to to from Luminicbulbs.com?? Correct me if I'm wrong. The ultraviolet seems liek a dumb way to imitate HID's...But will the sylvania make much of a difference frome the stock bulbs. Like take away that yellow light look? please help cause i want it dammit. and where can i get them from? online better?? walmart or autozone better? thanks

Well, I'm using Silverstars, it looks better than the stock ones. But not as white and bright as HID of coz! I think you should go for Silverstars if what you said is what you wanted!

One of my buddies just bought the 40 dollar silverstars for his 05 Tundra. He put them in and was severely dissapointed. Thinking that he got bad bulbs, he went back and exchanged them out for two new ones, same effect. I then showed him my newly installed Luminics ultra violets and his mouth dropped. He says....man, those look like the lights off of a BMW or something. I replied, not to shabby for 20 bucks eh? Their was a noticable difference in brightness between the two. Needless to say, he's returning his second set of silverstars and saving 20 bucks and picking up the luminics. Some may have differing opinions, but I absolutely love the luminics. I had the silverstars myself and for 20 bucks less, you can't go wrong.

Just my nickel....

They are about the same color as the HIDs in the prius

I have the luminics uv's, they're great. I think they're not quite at bright as stock, but they seem to project much better if that makes any sense. Signs definately light up much farther away compared to before and it's cool to see the little reflectors on the road striping reflect a bit purple.

Silverstars. Expensive, but the hyperwhite is just that, pure hyperwhite light. Very Bright.

Depends on what your lookin to accomplish . If your lookin for just BRIGHTER light then go Silverstars , if you wan the tinted appearence then go with the LUMS . I have had the silverstars and they just appear to make a brighter whiter light , But personally (and yes I know its appearance) but I like the bluer tint to the bulbs , although I am kinda curious about the UV's

How are the liminics uv? I really can't stand the blue tint ones due to getting pulled over for it occasionally. Has anyone been pulled over with the UV's?

Most likely I'll end up getting the sylverstars

ok well update on my last post in here..

It's dark now and I dunno if they are still very new or what but they are a LOT dimmer than my stock lights ONLY when other lights are around.. ie other cars, street lights and so on.. I had a feeling my lights were off... but then.. when I went trough a dark area.. WOW.. what a difference vs my stocks..

I'm just afraid I'll get stopped.. everybody says I will so we'll see

EDIT:

Added some pictures of how they look..and sorry, my digital cam broke 2 days ago ( ) and I had to use my phone to take the pictures soo..sorry for the quality, Moto Razr's are only good to look at... not for the camera lol

and like I said, I dunno if the cam makes it look that bright, but to me, they are not that bright as the pictures

Got home at 2am from work and playing halo2 at a friend's place and my luminics came in! Got super white for the low beams and yellow for the fogs. Spent the 10 minutes to install. Sorry but I don't have my digi-cam. Will take pics later. BTW, it took only 2 days to get them in the mail. Thanks luminics!

I'm seriously thinking of trying a set of Luminics myself. I have Silverstars is my xA and I'm very happy with them. I had Silverstars in my wife's last car too. But we just got her a new xB, and the stock headlights look yellow and ugly after driving with silverstars. Now, after reading all about these Luminics bulbs, it seems I have a chioce. Do I go with a product I already know I like, or do I go with the new kid on the block and save about $15? hmmmm

You seriously cant go wrong with them. Even if you HATE them..which you wont...Its only $25. And dont forget about the 1 yr warranty. Silverstars dont have that going for them.

Have the prices for the luminics gone down? Unless I am mistaken (as i most often am) I remember looking up the luminics and they were like 60 bucks. Now they are around 24.
