Default Webasto sunroof from '97 Jetta

I just got a '97 Jetta that I'm parting out and I noticed that it has an aftermarket Webasto sunroof. I'm going to get in touch with a local installer, but I was wondering if anyone knew if this sunroof would be able to be put into my '05 xB. I'm not sure if Webasto single sunroofs are all the same or how it would work out.

This is just my opinion but am no sunroof expert. But I don't see why not. As long as they cut the hole the proper size I would think they could put anything in the roof unless it weakens the structure in any way.

I'm not confident I could do this myself so I called the local sunroof installer today. They're telling I would be better off with a new one regarding warranty and what not. All said and done I would spend close to as much using the used sunroof and still not have it warrantied. Guess I'll post the sunroof up for sale in the classifieds for someone who is a diy kinda person.
