no discount - RS 1.0 - not fair
its crazy, my total came up to 23K for my RS 1.0, almost 8K in dealer options and they offer no discount, i am thinking about demanding one or not purchase. crazy that they will not negotiate..
i got every available option plus TRD stuff: TRD sport muffler, hotchkis sway bar, TRD 18 inch rims, AIM intake, and TRD shift kit.
they should offer some type of discount when you buy everthing, like a package deal or something. 23K for this.
i can get a BMW(used 5 speed) 530I 2001-02 for 27K. so i am having second thoughts..

Dont get all the options. Sounds like you wanted 8k in extras(your choice). Your threat wont do much, they wont have a problem selling it. Its the price you pay to have the "limited edition loaded and warrentied". It sucks but there isnt much haggeling going on when you buy them.
take it or leave it... :D thats where they are makin all their money.. in the aftermarket stuff.. i realize that you are buying a lot and a little slack would be nice. but if you dont buy it somebody else will. so they kinda have you by the *****
out the door i have a final cost in teh area of over 23. Thats trd wheels, springs, shocks, struts, muffler, aem intake, orange package, 3M bra, 6/100000 platinum warranty, door sills, floor mats, clear lights, trd steering wheel, subwoofer. I think thats what i got, and everything installed for a little more. The parts they wont help you out at all with, scions price is the price. But ask them to cut you a break on the warranty or invisible bra or install cost. They have to documet teh cost of the parts as sticker, but see if install and stuff not scion and trd can be cheapened.
My dealer also explained that scion wants prices to be unifrom, at your dealer and down teh street you will get teh same cost, so that you are getting strung along. In my opinion the cost of the options is pretty outragious. They got to be making a ton of money off that ____.

Understandably you think that when buying everything you would get a break but Scion's whole philosophy is to make the car how you want it and to make the car sit at the price you want, if everything you want is too much right now take some of it off and buy it later. Scion is Pure Price, what you see is what you get, as a rule in what all of us dealers signed in order to have Scion we CAN'T negotiate, everything is supposed to be transparent for our customers...
If we cut one kid a break then the whole Scion process falls apart and then it falls into the same situation as other car makes are, with the Pure Price philosophy it sets scion apart, and makes it easier on everyone by eliminating the negotiation process.
To you it may seem unfair, but there are ways around it, simply wait to purchase some accessories until you can afford them.

Doc
guys to make the process different and havepure price no haggling you know this up
front were trying to make this process alot easier.Once you start askingfor discounts hereand there, you no longerhave pure price process. The reason why there is so much
accessories is to cater to the individual person some people may not want any! You cant ask for no haggle pure price and then expect to haggle !!!!!! IF YOU WANT A GREAT DEAL GO GET A KIA

yeah I mean this is a 13 grand car to start with, so adding 10 grand in options is alot, I can see doing the RS 1 for 980 and an auto tranny for 800 and then some floor mats. But if you want the TRD stuff then just get your loan for 15K and get a base xB RS1 and then all of that money that you are gonna put into for other stuff then use that. 8000 extra is about 175 a month that you can spend in parts, plus if you budget is 35 grand, then that means you have alot of money each week t spend on extras. I know that my girls and I have about 32,000 we can spend for cars but we are gonna get the RS and then ad stuff every month instead of one big bunch.

The salesman knows that you are into serious car-lust and there's no way that they would consider giving you any breaks.
They know that you're going to buy regardless of the cost, so any break would simply be giving money away.

I noticed someone say that dealers must be making a ton of money on the accessories. To let you know, we really don't make ANYTHING off of the TRD and factory accessories. There's basically NO markup on the accessories, therefore giving anyone a discount would cause us, the dealer, to lose money. That's not how businesses stay afloat. Believe me, as a tuner myself, I completely sympathize with the whole getting a break for alot of accessories, but that's just not how we make money and do business. The way the Pure Price Solution works is that if we give one person a discount, we then have to do that for every future purchase in ADDITION to all our past purchases. In that case, I'd like to ask a question; if you guys could pickup any aftermarket accessory from 5Zigen, Greddy, DCSports, HKS, and companies like that from the dealership and pay regular prices, would you rather go there than to your local speed shop? In addition to being able to purchase parts at a Toyota dealership, if they were warrantied through the dealership, would you rather get them at the dealer? This is just something that me and the Scion corporate guys are throwin around. Let me know whats good.

Like Alicia said... everything is in process with Scion. Take it or leave it. If you want a discount then go buy any other except a Scion. They give you a discount and they risk losing allocation and I highly doubt a new Scion dealership will do that. Beside they are greedy and will get every penny put of a limited edition car.
You should be lucky there wasn't a mark-up in the first place on that car like on other limtited edition cars.
