Default PLEASE HELP? Poll, Kinda re: Stereo Install Kit

I know there are lots of folks on here with aftermarket head units. A search did not yield enough information to help me decide which one I want to use. Can anyone who has used an aftermarket install kit tell me what kind you used, if you had to modify it at all, and if you would recommend it? Your help is greatly appreciated.

BTW, the HU I will be using is my trusty ole Aiwa CDC-X9237MYUC

Here is a link to what it looks like:

I've read that you can use the echo install kit with a few modifications of brackets. Someone correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't presonally done it.

Default stereo install kit

Try this link. This is for a stereo installation kit specifically made for the xa and xb.
It is made by American International and the model number is toy-k669
