Default Whats ur Thoughts on the Tein S-Tech's????

I know this has probably been brought up numerous times, but I want some updated reponses from tC owners, SO.....

I am about to pull the trigger to buying the first mod on my ride and I was curious to get inputs from Tein S-Tech owners.

I know Tein is a well respected company, so I am certain I will go with them.

Hows the ride? Would u consider it near stock?

Also will I need a chamber kit or will an alignment be ok?

Thanks.

I have the S-Tech box sitting in my garage right now and right after my wheels are powdercaoted im going to put them on. I'll let you know how everything goes, i drive about 40 miles to school everyday so I should get a good idea of how they run on a daily driver. Ill post before and after pics too in a few days.

i just put my s techs on a few days ago. my friend also has s techs on his TC. i think the ride is great...very similar to stock...just slightly bouncier...but that's to be expected. as far as camber...that's a good question. i've been talking to a lot of people about it..most say that a camber kit is not needed, because we have adjustable cambers..i'm going to the dealer tomorrow to have them align it...then i'll know if i need to get a camber kit or not. i'll keep u updated...

I was considering the S-Techs over the H-Techs since they are less expensive and lower the car more. I do believe that H-Techs will provide a better ride than the S-Techs. I have seen my car dropped at 2-inches and i could see that the rears will have camber wear within time. Anything less drastic of a drop should be just fine.

So in the end I say go for the S-Techs if you are sticking with stock wheels and tires (which have thicker sidewalls anyways to help keep a smoother ride) or maybe even if you are going for 18's. I would recommend the H-Techs for 19" wheel/tire applications.

I've sold quite a few sets of S-techs to tC owners, and they recommended them to others that bought them also.

Not stiff enough. Not low enough. I would say get the coilovers. I deeply regret not saving for the coilovers. Get a rear bar as well.

i have the S-Techs on my xB. shouldnt be a big difference from the tC.
the ride is great, but i've noticed the back is a lil bouncy? but overall, badass.
the squat is the best part.

go with TEIN.

I have read plenty of peoples post where they have 19's and S-techs, and report no problems.

Not to threadjack, but I am going to get a set of S techs for my Tc & was wondering where to find the best price.

I was going to make my own post, but thought this would be a good thread to ask in.

Sorry If I am off-topic in any way or jacking, I mean no disrespect !!!

I got mine for about $130 on ebay a while back and installed them myself.

I took it back to toyota for alignment, no camber kit was necessary, all 4 corners are adjustable. The fronts by loosening the strut bolts for minor adjustment, or changing to offset bolts (dealer has these) for major changes. The rears are fully adjustable using the factory offset bolts and tie-rod ends.
