Default Going to wait til next season to purchase supercharger?

Ugh, another SC post ;) and yes I know turbos are better, I want the sC for the warranty and reliablity!

Well I was thinking, the talks of price have come up, and the online prices are probably cheaper than what the dealers will ask. So who knows what the dealer will want to charge. Then if u buy it online and ask them to install, they will prob charge more since you didn't buy it from them...I know some guy who said he can get me cost price on items...but some reason I think the supercharger will not apply to that...if he can then sweetness!

But I was thinking, how many of you want to wait til next year to get it? I was thinking, I want it bad, but winter will be here almost in time for the thing to be released then by the time its installed it'll likely be almost time for snow...so no point in it since I store my car for the winter...I could save a little extra $ through winter so I can get the SC, and intercooler, clutch upgrade if needed, and BOV etc...I dont know the function as much of a intercooler/bov, but I've read it can be done on this centrif. version its using, and I love the look/function/sound of them on turbos!

Also this lets a lot of people run the supercharger for quite a few months to test it for any bugs. This way once I actually go to purchase it in say around march-may 2006, it should be all tested, and dealers will be more used to installing them, thus less chance of error on installs...and I'll also get to hear a lot of the ups/downs of it too.

Or who knows, maybe it will get delayed longer, and we will have to wait that long for the release anyways lol. I just wish there were some newer pics/details to hold us over.

Yea! I just hope everything that is already there was made to handle the supercharger, and its not like u have to buy it, then a new clutch, fuel rail, or whatever would be needed.

Sucks cause if the supercharger is $2950, then after installation, and if u add on a intercooler, bov, or whatever else would be possible, who knows what the total could be. I'm guessing it will be close to a $4000-$4500 upgrade by the time all is said and done with some mods :-/

I want to make my car faster with this, and upgraded stuff that keeps the warranty, but I don't want to take 20K miles of life off the engine either, or have problems with it burning or leaking oil in the future ya know?
