Default New Alphawerks header! ...have a few questions

Ok, my header is on the truck coming, very shortly too might i add, im installing it either monday or tuesday when i have off but im doing some research first, since the pre-cat will be coming out, and everyone says it will throw a CEL code, im wondering where can i get a o2 simulator, or antifouler? im not to sure what antifouler is and ive done a little research around here but cant find anything with some good information about getting the ecu to not throw a cel

help me out here guys

from what i understand an o2 simulator is your best option. antifouler will not really fix the problem, just covers it up. where did you order your header from? they may carry the o2 sim since they are selling the headers.
if not i'm pretty sure creative compacts sells them. if you don't see it on their website call the 800# cuz i know they carry it

how hard is the o2 simulator to install? and um creative compacts doesnt have it on their site, bah! lol how much is a o2 simulator anyway?

I have knowledge on american cars but not imports but im getting the hang of the whole import scene now too! lol the header install itself will be pretty easy but the o2 sensor issue seems to be whats gonna be a little harder, if i install the header itself, and figure out where i can get the o2 simulator from, could i get a shop to install it?

o2 sim works good but if you want to try and find anti fourlers they are normally for spark plugs and you can get them at your local auto parts store. I think the size is 18mm and most people stack two on on top another. also with the search button i found this

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ght=antifouler

Hope this helps

i'd rather do antifoulers personally. they're much easier and work just as well if not better

the antifouler doesnt not cover up probs. they actually try and fix it but its not succesful because i believe over 80% of the anitfoulers on here have thrown a CEL.

o2 sims cover up probs. o2 sims are designed to cover up and make the ECU think everything is ok or it feeds the ECU data to run the correct way.

you can get an 02 sim from AW for cheaper than 100 i believe. mine's from AW and it works great

antifoulers worked for my RSX. no CEL with race header. now i gota install my alphawerx header and hope i get the same outcome.

be extremely careful when handling o2 sensors. i somehow busted my primary o2 on my rsx when installing my header but luckily dealer replaced it out of goodwill.
