Not rare - the automatics were just shipped first, before the manuals.

well, i dont think that is entirely true b/c the first rs1 to get here was my 5 speed.

and if a dealer ship gets a 5 speed i heard they only get ONE

any one confirm this. i jsut talked to a dealer in FLA and he said that thier dealership isn't even getting any 5 speeds in at all so far. and mine and my friends is the only 5 speed hot lavas in florida that he has even heard of. he was shocked that we both have one and welive in the same area.

she had to get hers 50 miles away though, b/c i got the only one in this town.

The dealerships around here can't even get a standard package in a manual...bastard shipping and such is sending only auto's. If I could I'd wait longer, but as it is I need a new car whilst my Baby lies in pieces in the garage . Dealer I'm going through is badass though, they say that when a manual RS comes they'll let me do an even trade for it from the auto to stick $$

from this i can see the autos will far out number the stnds.

but as you mentioned your friend went 50 miles away to get one!

I don't think anyone in the US has actual numbers for you, but rumor has it that less than 20% of the RS1s have manny trannys.

I'm still waiting for mine, but it should be here in April sometime hopefully...

^^^^^ Not true. Automatic to manual ratio is 4 to 1.
