I have a 2006 xA - silver. I am unsure about a couple mods, thought I might get some input. I have had it for 2 weeks...no mods yet. I am taking it in tomorrow for tint 35/20 on front/back. Ok, here comes the question...what next?
I want TRD springs and some new wheels. I am leaning towards these:

Should I go with 17's or what do you thing 15's or 16's would look like. Any other suggestions to make my ride better?
Thanks

First off, don't go with TRD springs. There are far better options out there for the money.
Second, those wheels are going to be heavy, and may make your car a tad slower and cause a slight drop in gas mileage. I think you should go with some lighter 16 inch wheels by a company called Rota. They make a ton of nice wheels, you should check them out.

I've had my car for 5 months and still no mods, lol, but I am looking at tein s techs and a black or dark gm mesh rim in a 17". One thing I've found is that less expensive rims tend to be heavier then the spendy ones so chose wisely or you may be robbing horsepower when you have none to spare.
go 18's, they are so the best
and i wouldnt go wit anything but Eibach's or Koni's for lowering springs, but i dont think Koni makes them for our cars, but they do make sport shocks which i nice. the wheels are pretty good, but i was looking at getting 17's myself, and im so happy i didnt

If you really want a performance gain when it comes to the wheels, I would suggest some 15 inch or 17 inch Konig Heliums. you can get them for less than $450 shipped (for 15s) on ebay. These plus some nice high-performance tires regardless of the size you go.
I have the TRD springs, and they do give you a very noticeable performance gain, but they are still very comfortable as far as aftermarket springs go. The stock shocks are not going to be good for very long on any real serious drop, so unless you are thinking about shocks as well, I wouldn't really consider anything more than the TRD springs as far as drop goes, to be a good idea. I got TRD springs from Carson Toyota in California www.newscionparts.com for $189 back at the begining of the summer.

Have you checked out the Hotchkis springs? I have those on my car and love it. They're not too stiff, so my car doesn't bounce everywhere, and they add a nice lowered look to your car. Not too low, not too high. I've had no problems getting up any driveways either.
But there are basically going to be my interm springs till I decide if I want to go with TEIN or JIC coilovers. I just can't decide.
