well guys, i took out my cams today. im sending them to crower to get "hardfaced" hardfacing is a race/street application. Welding up stock lobes to allow unlimited spec while maintaining stock base circle. this will give me about another 25-30 WHP with my set up.i just have to get valve clearances from crower. im sending them my stock clearances, and they will change them depending on the lobes. ill do a write up as soon as i get tehm back, in about 10 days. now that i think about it, i should have done a write up w/pics on the cam removal.
it cost $40 per lobe and $135 per cam, so it ran me $455 per cam. just to let you gus know. crower doesnt make cams for the TC yet so they either regrind them (5-10 hp) or hardface them, more expensive, but more HP too
i want cams you luck bastered lol how hard was it to yank the block out the tc???

from all the instructions i have seen (witch is verry few) the head is a _____ to do any thing with on the tc doing the zpi head requirs you take out the block (again from what i heared) i dont know if that is the case with removing the cams but hopefully we can get some input on this from silverstreak

yeah your probly correct you could just remove the valve cover and yank them out but i think the timing chain does have to come off
