It took about 25 days (temp tags only last a month) to get my permanent tag. I live in Florida, so it might be different...

It kinda looks like eggroll...maybe if the 5s were upside down..and the 7s were rotated 180 degrees...

I think your paperwork was misplaced. I got my car about 5 weeks ago and my plates arrived last week. The tags expire in March 2005.

It took 2 months for my personalized plates to come in. A week later, my regular plates arrived, and I was able to go to DMV to switch them out.

The advantage of buying from a good dealer ! ROFL. No, here in maryland some dealers chose to file MVA paperwork over the internet and process the plates same day. So you leave with Hard tags and registration. NO WAIT!

That would be something much needed in CA, only problem is that there are so many problems with the DMV and state budget **** over here that such a program would never be put into place...

my plates took almost exactly 90 days, which is what the usual time is. i still havent put my plates on. half lazy, and half of me has a wierd theory that if a cop sees me, he'll be to lazy to right down my vin number which is a little longer than a liscence plate i know its stupid, but hey i haven't gotten pulled over yet....*knocks on wood*

BlueScionXB,

Keep checking your snail mail. Yesterday, I recieved a notice from the DMV that my vanity plates are ready to be picked up.

They match my username "WS SCION"

Default PERSONALIZED PL8

I just posted this on another thread>>>I got da car last month (xA) and I love it.. i juz got 1 question... I had my license plate personalized and I picked S3X for it.. meaning (S) for Scion, (3) for 3thousand dollars that i paid for the Downpayment, and (X) for xA. Now, my brother tells me that DMV will prolly not allow it since it may mean the other way around..which is SEX :? ..can you guys tell me if the DMV will really junk it or not? i tried to order it online and I had it already processed but Im not sure if they will put an OK on it... :?:

texas has a lot of special plates

http://www.dot.state.tx.us/vtr/spplates/allplates.htm

You have to go to a VTR office and fill out a form for personalized/special plates though.

In Cali it can all be done online.

I think they'll spot that in a second. And, btw, you're among friends, you don't need to bull$hit us on what it's "supposed " to mean... C'mon, you must be really excited about your downpayment amount...
