Default HELP, Tire rubbing?

Hey guys, need your help on this one. Ordered a set of hp racing r5 wheels in the 18x8. They are telling me that I have to go with a 215/35/18 tire or it will rub otherwise. I need some tread on my tires because I drive on some rough roads, I was wanting to go with a 22/40/18, but they said no way. They said a 215/40/18 might work, but they doubt it. Oh yeah, my car has the S-Tech springs which dropped it quite a bit, like 2" I think. Any help would be great, thx.

the 215/35/18 is a total of 23.93" tall
the 215/40/18 is a total of 24.77" tall
the 225/40/18 is a total of 25.09" tall
If you are that worried about it go with the 215-40/18, that will give you a decent side wall and still not be buldged out cause of the width of the tire. The 215-35 is a small tire. I had them on a previous car. My wife drove that car so we went to the 40 series to give her a little more sidewall. I am running a 30 series on mine but then again mine is a 20".
