Default So I went to the track with my Supercharged tC.....

Well I went to the track with my Supercharged tC and the upgrades include DC Race Header, TRD Axle Back Exhaust, Custom K&N Cold-air intake and 91 octane. I also drive this daily with 19" rims and the tires don't stick at all cause of the small sidewall. Rims weigh bout 31 lbs. EACH!!

Now I have a HUGE box for my subs that weighs in at almost 130 so my cars kind of a tank

The Results: THE WORST WHEEL HOP I EVER EXPERIENCED!! I thought my front windshield hit the dash... jk but it seemed harsh. I went for a second run and slipped all the way through 1st and 2nd. Terrible runs which netted me my best ET of the day of 14.84 @ 93.08

Now I did this run to test my car as of now... the way I drive it everyday so trying to get a proper ET is... well not exact being my less than stellar launches. On the 14th of January I will be running again with: ZPI Crank and Supercharger pulley, 17" Stock rims w/drag radials, ZPI down-pipe, and hopefully better engine mounts.

Overall I'm disappointed but looking for low 14's high 13's with 19" rims and first time racer (yes my first time to the track, and it wont be the last!!) is not practical at all. But was it fun!! Just wanted to let you guys now my experience.

Good job man, considering all the extra weight you had against you. These are good numbers, considering the so called experts at road and track magazine ran a best of 15.1

Now drop some of that weight and go back for some more practice. I also highly recommend you picking up an SC pulley from NST, www.NonStopTuning.com if you plan to raise boost

nice job, all the wieght is affecting your trap speed more than anything else,

i ran 14.6 but at 98mph, so keep working on it and low 14s should be no problem

Thats pretty strong considering you have an extra 180+ lbs over stock.

I have a n00b question does anyone make a LSD for the tC? Thats would take care of the wheel & axle hop.

Since you have a lot of extra weight and have never been to the track before thats really good. Ive never been to the track either but its hard to get good starts compared to other cars. Adding more power probably makes it worse. Good job and keep trying and Im sure you will get lots better.

That's not a true LSD. Its a set of blocks that you sandwhich into the spider gears of the diff. Those things are straight up GARBAGE period. They do not make a TRUE LSD for the TC right now. BUt I heard they are making one.

I had a phantom grip in my old 12:5:1 compression Neon. The thing worked for about 3 weeks and then it worked whenever it wanted to. Till one day it didn't work at all. What a waste of time effort and money. If you're gonna do it.................do it right the first time.

Not to bad for your first time. The thing about that story that stuck out in my mind is that they let you run with that stuff in the car. Most places from what I hear make you take out stuff like that incase of an accident. Just my .02 though.

Nu_ERA,

Email me a copy of your time slip, and I'll add you to our fastest/quickest page. We need more S/C'ed scions for the list.
