Default Auto Trader Used xB pricing

Hey Guys...

well... i'm selling my xB next month...and did some research on the resale value for the xB. I contacted Kelley Blue Book...and it seems as though they don't expect any set pricing for used xB anytime soon cuz there haven't been enough transaction to accumulate an average.

But I did find this today April 23, 2004. After looking through them... i realized that Scion xB will not lose much value. chk out the used Scion xB pricing...

Scion xB will hold its resale value...

Wow. Maybe I should sell mine and by a brand new one.

That new car smell is starting to wear off. I hope no one is actually paying these prices.

who knows...maybe the xB will become an rare automotive icon... and the dealers know something we don't...like limited production of the xB.

I gotta get hold of someone in South Carolina...so i can sell my xB ..haha.

The Scion resale market is still in the "speculation" stage, since the car hasn't been released everywhere yet. The crazy prices being _asked_ for xBs by dealers in non-release areas are not a good indication of what resale will be when the market settles down. When the next "kewl" car hits the market and the "gotta have one" crowd starts unloading their xBs we will find out what the true resale is.

First, they are _asking_ that price, not selling for that price. The actual selling price may be far less.

Second, the vehicle appears to have several accessories. Exactly how much is unknown.

Third, there just aren't enough xBs on the market to establish a long-term market value. All we have now are random data points, mostly from people who are trying to make a quick buck.

well... i looked at their ad...and only real aftermarket mod is the Chrome rims they mention...everything else listed is stock. Also... even if the actual selling price is "far less" than posted at nearly $22k... i don't think the Toyota of Hollywood will sell it at less than $19,000... which is still extremely high for an xB in my opinion.

hell...if i could sell my xB for $17,000 with all the mods i have on right now..i'll be happy.

good luck BlueBox!

i sold mine recently and was pretty disappointed in the response....

i needed to sell due to health problems, or i would not have let it go so cheaply....but i got hardly any interest even though mine was 'Super Clean'!!

Well, we're talking dealer, and they charge a premium. Some people will pay a lot for the supposed security of buying from a dealer.

Still, this has little bearing on the actual market value of an xB.

hmm... i guess i'll have to drive around with "for sale " sign and see who replies.

i would prefer to sell it to someone in the states where Scions are not released as of yet... and to someone who does not want to spend extra money and time modifying their ride, but appreciates the modified look.

Heck...i might just run the "run til sold" ad on Auto Trader.

yes... i'm selling to get the TC. I want to keep my box...and also get the TC...but i can't afford 2 car payments right now. Although the xB is a great vehicle..and is beyond my expectations, i need something with more power....but nothing too expensive...and I think TC is perfect. I've always been a fan of a coupe/hatchback style car like the Supra.

Hence.. i am forced to sell my xB. It is unfortunate...but i had to make the difficult choice.
