Default question for the east coast guys...

ok, for those of you on the east coast, more specifically NC (mid-NC if you're there) how long of a wait am i looking ordering a stripped BOP 5-speed? and will the wait be longer if i order a couple of options? i was thinking the TRD clutch because i read a few bad clutch threads on here.

Yeah that definately depends on a few things. If they have a good DX (dealer trader) then you might have what you want in less than a week. If not and you have to rely on an allocation you might be looking at as long as 4-8 weeks. Good luck man...

If I understand the process correctly, ordering extra options should only add a day or so, since the only options done at the factory are the transmission and the color. Some options will get done at the port, some will get done at the dealer, and any that don't get done at the port can get done at the dealer.

Be pleasantly aggressive with your dealer ;-)

If your dealer is reluctant to get a stripped model, find another dealer (IMO)

TRD clutch is a waste of dough. Its just a stronger pressure plate, using the same stock organic disk. It'll still wear out just as fast.

ok, talked to a buddy of mine last night who bought his 04 xB at the same dealer i'll probly go to (rice scion in greensboro for those of you who might know of it) and he said they were really good, the only thing was he had some trouble getting the warranty he wanted since he was 18, but ended up getting it (platinum warranty for $1000 ) and it only took about a week for his to come in. he ordered his stripped, also.
