Hello Everyone.

My name is Mark and I operate a little site called Scionetics. We use it as our networking hub in AZ and we can do the same here.

The feature I want to tell you about is our event calendar with automated roll-call. If one or two of you would agree to be the admins for San Diego or the L.A. area we could have individual roll calls for each area and not have to continually re-post a list in both forums on Scion Life. Plus, once you're on the list, the admin can email everyone with updates on the event. If you need to drop out you just click on your name on the list and you're off. It helps us get more organized and we get more/better support from our local vendors. ($4000.00 in prizes at our Poker Run in November)

You need to be a member (free) and that's all. The cool thing is that the site is built to look local to the user no matter where they live. So, if San Diego has local meets scheduled, they show up on the main page when your locals visit. Same for L.A., Phoenix, Denver, Houston and anywhere else.

If you're a member viewing it you just click on a button to add your name or click on your name to remove it.

We want to make the Vegas run a great one. We're talking to the Scion dealers there to see if we can coax them into teaming up to host a party for us and we're also working with our contacts in the hospitality industry to get cheap room rates for all that make the trip. Getting everyone organized now will only help to make it easier to get more for all of us.

The links in my signature are generated on Scionetics also. I'll add a link tou the event calendar so every post you make can link to your events too.

 

Both of you are set up. When you log in and enter the Member Area you'll see a link called "Car Club Menu" in the menu. Click on that and you'll see the menu with events on it.

Ok guys...so i talked with Brian in Arizona and we need to start laying down plans. So...first off...let's throw out some ideas.

Would you guys be interested in renting a racetrack for half a day? Maybe a DJ + dance at a club with open bar or something along those lines? Just start throwing around ideas...we want to get something down on paper within the next few days. thanx

So please discuss amongst yourselves in this post as to what you want to do. I want to get some GREAT ideas in the next few days because we will be drafting up a proposal. As for signing up for the event, once we get the plans all set, I will be setting up a sign up "sheet" on scionetics.com. It's a lot easier...it keeps track of who will be attending and you can take your name off if you cannot make it for whatever reason. It also can send emails to everybody on the list regarding updates etc. ok.......START DISCUSSING NOW!

 

hey guys, Scott here from AZ. I can't wait for this trip being that I consider Vegas my home away from home and love every minute that i'm there. When i originally said i could go it was scheduled in April which is the same month as my bday, but now its being scheduled in May,

I have no problem going in May but PLEEEEASE do not make it the weekend of the 27th, I have to film a wedding that weekend and there is NO way that I will be able to get out of it. Any other weekend should be cool but just not that one.

Another thing that I haven't seen mentioned is if this will be a thing where some people will leave early on Friday and another group will leave in the afternoon on Friday, any ideas on that one so we're not all getting into Vegas at like 1 AM?

 

Would people rather leave on a friday night or saturday morning? if we leave friday night...i'm assuming people can't get off work so we'll have to leave pretty late.

 

Looks like Friday night would probably work best...even though we'll get in really late. Would you guys be up for a car show on Saturday ro something? somebody mentioned that on the socal tc forum. We could get a convention center or something.
