Default hatch still rattles after TSB? here's a cheap and easy fix!

took my car in about 3 weeks ago to get the tsb done, they replaced the hydraulics and gave me some really weak ones. they wont even lift my hatch without me putting an effort into lifting it. 3 days after rattles came back with a vengeance! it was the worse its ever been. i talked to my friend at the dealership that also owns a tc. he complained about the rattle too and told me his little technique. the tech guy that he works with helped him with it. well, look for the little metal bar that the hatch latches onto to keep closed. he told me to "give it a couple of hits with the hamme. not full force but a good hit on it" and it worked for him. i would rather not do that . sooo..

i cut 3-4 inches of black wire tape. use black so its hardly noticeable. wrapped it around that bar the the hatch latches onto and drive..listen to the road and not the hatch rattle! now i'll tell u now, this is jus a band aid for the problem. so annoying things about this is that u have to open and close the hatch for a while for it to develop a groove so that it locks on easier and lifts easier. at first, close ur hatch like you would regularly and u can hear that the hatch doesnt lock on tightly. after you close it, try lifting it up to see if it'll come loose. if it does, you'll probably have to add a little bit more force for it to close. same thing when opening. after a day or so the groove should develope and that little annoyance should be minimized. good luck to you all!
