What do you mean. Are you just looking to buy some extra paint? You could *Try* and buy a pint of it from a body shop, but keep in mind that the materials they use are meant to be applied with solvents and or water, so what you get in the can/pint of paint isn't going to do you any good. Furthermore, FM is metallic based and the flake is added on top of the paint, it is not mixed in the can (if I recall correctly).

What is it you need/want extra FM for, maybe I can better help answer your question.

This place: http://www.paintscratch.com/ Was very good and offered it in a touch up pen, bottle, and rattle can (spraypaint). Custom mixed!

All you have to do is go to any auto paint supply shop and request the paint color with your code...

you then need a gravity load sprayer, thinning agent, clear coat, hardner and know exactly how to spray it.... it's not easy... if you want an exact match, you're best to let the pros handle the job...

I did my role bar in BSP and it came out ok... but it's a chunk of change to acquire all the neccesary materials to do it even close to right.

You can't just ask for FM in a spray can and leave it at that... it just won't work.

Id recommend against gettng the FM in touch up. A friend of mine here did that, and it looked terrible. The touch up spots made it look worse than the chips.

Exactly!
My car had to have some body work done an they gave me a little bottle of touch up paint. I put it on a spot and it was more noticable.

It'll turn out way more nice if you just take the cover to the body shop, and tell them you want it FM. You wouldn't even need a new one, they could just sand the old one down, and lay FM over it. Prolly cost you $50 at most which is cheaper than the price of a new cover/paint/labor on your part.

call your insurance, ask them to refer a shop.
tell them you want to have some custom pain work done, and that you are looking for a reputable shop. Most insurance companies have a working relationship with reputable shops in your area

It sounds just a tad bit pricey. $70 an hour on labor, so about an hour and a half to remove the stock intake / piping / misc, install the new intake, maybe go into the wheel well, etc. I'm pretty sure you got a rough estimate from them.

On another note, if I had a chip on my rear bumper that I wanted to be repainted (the chip only) would they be able to do it nice and and within a couple hours, or would they have to remove the whole bumper and do lots of blending and all.

I too have an FM and tried to repaint this chip but it sticks out like a ****.
