Default Great price for Magnaflow Cat-back

Hey guys, just wanted to share this site with everyone because i think this is a pretty sweet deal for the tC magnaflow cat-back. I haven't ordered from these guys yet but i've talked to them and they seem like great guys.

I personally would not get this exhaust, and advise you not to get it. I mean sure it’s a cat back so you will get some gains, but look at how the muffler is connected to the midpipe, and then how it routes the tip to the bumper. It doesn’t look to me like a free flowing exhaust if you know what I mean. This isn’t the best design magnaflow has done..

Sure its cheap, but why get it? The design of the system IMHO is horrible, I would save my money for something else, such as… maybe an ARK racing cat back, or Megan racing cat back..or do you own.

With the tC its very easy to make your own exhaust because our midpipe only has two bends, this meaning, you can just buy one U-bend from magnaflow and cut it in half and use them for your bends, and have a muffler shop make the rest… that will yield a mandrel bent exhaust, and would be better flowin than this exhaust, depending on the placement of the muffler.

well the only reason i want this exhaust is because i live in California and theyre being pretty damn strict around here on modification stuff and this is supposed to be the only emissions legal cat back since it keeps the 2nd cat. If there are any true emissions legal cat backs, please let me know, i know the Megan isn't legal and that was what i intended to buy before

ya im in cali too.. im jus going to build my own, its real easy to and youll save like 100 bux. but the ones that are emission legal as far as i know are Magnaflow and ARK Racing, both sound very nice.. and the good thing is, the magnaflow is really quiet, even at WOT... which is a great thing, i just wish they designed it better. BUT GOOD LUCK

This setup is made for N/A cars though. It's part 2.5" piping and part 2.25" and has a dyno proven 6hp / 6tq gain if I remember right.

If any owners of the actual product chime in that would be great. I'd like to know what they think.

Also I'm over an hour away from the closest shop that does mandrel bends so It wouldn't be that cost effective to custom made, atleast for me.

well you dont necessarily have to go to a mandrel shop, you can go to any muffler shop and have them fab you an exhaust. now your prolly thinkin, but they will be crush bends...but this is where you are mistaken, on the tC, the midpipe is practically straight until it reaches the passenger seats and then it has about two 90 degree turns and from then on its straight till the axle back portion.

now what you can do is just buy one U-bend from magnaflow, cut it in half and you have a mandrel bent system because the parts the muffler shop would do would be completely straight.

however when you get to the axle back that is another story... you can have it pretty straight depending on the muffler you choose, for my exhaust it will be one bend and then the muffler connects from there, there will be about 3 inches of pipe total after the midpipe... seeing as how the muffler is about 26 inches long

Well, i decided to order this system. Should come maybe next week or so and i'll probably have a shop put it on for me next weekend. How much does it usually run to have a cat back put on?
