I was on the chat thing on scion.com and the guy i was talking to told me that the s/c will be released more towards the end of the year, and the price hasnt been released so idk how you guys are putting deposits on them. He also said that the borla cat back exhaust option will not be offered from the factory, but some dealers will offer some featurs not offered by scion, and that is why it listed it on build your own scion. He also said that some dealers will be able to offer packages. He also said that the tC runs 0-60 in 8.0 sec.

8 secs does suck... oh well... then I guess the auto will be in the 9.2 to 9.3 range... that is really gonna suck... at least you could smoke some xAs or xBs...

of course we do need to look at what happened to Mazda on the release of the RX8, they basically got in trouble because they promised 250hp and the car only makes 240hp... so they sent a rebate type payment to people who filed the proper paperwork...

point being that if Scion claims a 7second 0-60 and it only pulls a 7.2... then they run the risk... so car manufacturers are typically on the safe side, especially on the first year cars... this is a new car, old engine, reworked transmissions - who knows what to expect...
