Default Optional Accessories cheap price?

I was surfing and found this site:

http://www.trdsparks.com/displaycate...it=Continue...

And the optional accessories are cheaper than what you would get at the dealer. Would this be wise? Only thing I am afraid of is they will be cheap knockoffs, replicas, etc. I am 19 years old and looking to get a Super White tC in a few weeks, so the less I have to pay, the much better. So, I could save about $100-$300 with this site maybe. What ya guys think?

trdsparks is one of the best scion retailers around.....they're a dealership in myrtle beach.....all their stuff is normally at a great price, and everything is legit, nothing replicated.....i just bought springs from them yesterday.

Sweet, I don't know if I should order the pedestal spoiler from them as I would have to put it on myself, so is it hard to install it perfectly?

I would get these from them:
Pedestal Spoiler: $423-$267.95= $155.05
Door Sills: $115-$63.90= $51.10
CF B-Pillar: $75-$47.70= $27.30
Mudguard (snow): $38-$30= $8
Rear Bumper Protector: $58-$35.80= $22.20
Blue Light: $250-$122.95= $127.05

That's $390.70 saved. That is about enough for tint, pedal (Sparco), shift **** (Momo), and leather shift boot (Momo)

okay. DONT ORDER ANY ACCESSORIES FROM YOUR DEALERSHIP !! order from trdsparks.com or mcgeorgeparts.com both are cheap sites to get your scion accessories from and its mostly diy. nothing big.

personally i wouldnt order the pedestal spoiler because i read somewhere on here that water gets trapped into the space between the spoiler and the trunk. and it just keeps leaking out. id rather not deal with that. even though it does look good. its not my style. id personally rather have the lip. the lip is really nice. and i obviously wouldnt like to be drilling holes or have anyone else for that matter drilling holes into my car. you coudl do it yourself by drilling the screws down and just double sided tape. itll be the same thing with out damage to your car.

Hmm, I compared their prices and they are pretty much the same. Aww, the water leaks in the truck? Dang, think it would be possible to put some sort of a seal around the holes?

Look all dealerships get thier parts at 30-40% cheaper then retail. Not going to get in to details but people but them parts on. You need to pay does people. Thats why dealships sell parts to people at 20-25% discount. That covers the install cost. Scion charges 90 for the door still but u can get them for like 60 i think. part goes to pay the tech and a small part for that dealship profit. So u do save money if u do the work but u got to plan it out. I was going to buy all my parts from trdsparks.com. They have great prices but i shipping was an issue. It would be cheaper for me to buy the parts at a local Scion dealership then pay for shipping. But i like trdsparks.com great costermer serives. Ken does a great job staying on top of things. I got my Ingen CAI from them and planing to lowing springs from them. As for the spoiler. If u want just to ssave money it's not worth it pay the few bucks more and let someone do it. If they screw up it's has a warrenty. Now if u would like to install it your self becuase you like doing all the work your self. I say go for it. Use a seam sealer, even window cualking(the clear type) will work. It can be that hard just the matter of having the right tools.

Hmm, I don't think I will be able to do the spoiler myself, so I might just have the dealer do it and then do the seal myself and also have them do the blue lights. And then do the rest myself. Seems kinda risky to try and do it myself and end up messing it up.

TRD Sparks is an awesome site, it's the exact stuff from the dealer but at a price that won't break your spine. Another one that sells genuine TRD and Scion stuff for fractional prices is www.scionpartspeople.com . They have the lowest price on the TRD exhaust and they are also having a sale on spoilers for the tC right now, you should check it out.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing the new tC.

*EDIT* looked it up, the Pedestal spoiler's on sale for $228 at scionpartspeople.

Thanks, check out my other recent posts, I have picked out a rim I will get, feel free to comment on them

Wow, that spoiler is cheap, does it come color-keyed? I KNOW I wouldn't be able to put it on right or align it right, so I might have the dealer do it for me, I could just order it and take it to the dealership and they can do it for me. Still cheaper than the $450 dealer one

hate to tell you this....but you've got it all backwards bud.....the price that you're saying they take off is the actual price that they're selling the product for. for example. door sills are $63.90.

Haha, I am showing how much I SAVE.

The 1st price is the dealership price, the 2nd price is the discounted one, and finally, the 3rd price is the margin of how much I save

Definitely get your accessories from trdsparks.com !! Ken has hooked me up numerous times and he's definitely top-notch! Their stuff is geniune Toyota/Scion parts! Ken's even gotten me things not on his website! I recommend them to everybody here!!

do everything yourself...no point in having the dealer make money installing these sort of easy mods.

Are you saying it's easy to put a spoiler on? Haha... Also, what about the blue lights? Not that good with wiring.

spoiler is easy, you just drill holes and tighten some bolts. personally, i think the pedestal spoiler is ugly and would rather go with the scion factor lip for $70.

IMO, the lip seem a bit effeminine. And I don't think I could drill it, because if I mess up, I'm screwed.
