Default New Owner - 6Disc OEM stereo questions...

Heya! Names Gino, Got my new Box last Wednesday! TCM Auto. From Right Scion in AZ.

Had a question about the stereo. I opted for the 6 disk in dash changer/mp3. I made an MP3 disk, tried both 160k and 192 both worked however there is a small problem. Some tracks either get skipped or the playback is really slow, when at the same time you change tracks on the disk and some play perfectly. Was wandering if anyone had experienced this? The only thing I can think of is that I am converting WMA files to MP3. Now trust me there is nothing wrong with my computer proccessing power. Running a Laptop with a P4 3.06HT with 512DDR Ram. I am left with thinking either I am not doing something right or converting from WMA to MP3 is not a good thing. Bad thing with that is that I have over 900 disks on my computer all of which are WMA.

I had read a forum that there is supposed to be a manual for this player but when I asked the dealer about it they said there was not one. I checked the OPwners Manual and there is nothing in it about any stereo let alone the one I chose.

Any help would be great.

hey Gino what's up...I got mine from Right Scion too and they were great ...

anyway, i also have the 6 disc changer and encountered the same problem...it is the WMA thing...i think it only plays MP3 files...the first time i tried to make a compilation CD, the software i used didn't burn the WMA files on the disk ...so i tried it again, this time it recorded it, but like u said, it just skips the WMA files...

as far as the manual goes, i got one with mine...its not in the black book (the one with the first aid kit) that they gave you...i found mine separate and it was in the glove box in a plastic wrap...

enjoy the box man and congrats...also check out this thread for the AZ meet this coming Saturday and Sunday... http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16470 and http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16463
