Well this is my local dealership from which i bought all 3 of my cars from. They know I'm into the Scion scene so they took me out to lunch today and asked me for ideas for a show.

The date for the show is set for 9/10/2006 and a raindate will be set later.

I went over a lot of ideas for the show and what to have and they took notes. Lets just say that they are not sparing any expense for this show, they are going all out. I can't give out too much information only because nothing is locked as of yet other than they will have a raffles with GREAT PRIZES about every half hour of the show, and trust me when i say these raffles aren't you cheap prizes. The car show will have trophies for the winners and SPECIAL PRIZES as well. I told them a trophy would be fine but they didn't want to be like everyone else who just gives a trophy they want to give out something else as well and some of the ideas they were saying BLEW MY MIND. I didn't expect them to suggest those things but its not for sure yet but it will be something worth while.

There will be plenty of activities to keep us all busy all day instead of just sitting by our cars all day. They will have things for kids and adults to do all day. FREE FOOD, FREE ENTRY, RAFFLES AND PRIZES.

I will have more details of the show within the next few weeks and i will keep everyone post but MARK THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR.

I GUARANTEE YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

I AM ALSO OPEN TO ANY SUGGESTIONS. (EXCEPT FROM ROLAND AND FAMILY)

Please let me know if you are interested in going for i will be the one handling the registration.

they also have a show on sunday so its not a drive for just one show, but

still going to woodward. maybe it will rain here sunday and not there, that would work

Well, the main enterance to Libertyville Toyota from Route 21 is terrible. It's got this nasty incline that is enough to cause scrapes or mar up or even break front air dams. Can something be done with that since your holding a car show and there are bound to be lots of lowered or naturally low profile cars coming?

The cars will be told to come in from the Pontiac Dealership entrance and from there you can make it to Toyota side.

I THINK IT WILL RAIN THAT SATURDAY WOODWARD. THAT WORKS BETTER.

woodward, being a real show, is rain or shine my friend!
last yr it was raining, then sunny, then rain, then the white people got burned and then it was perfect. :D
not that i dont love the dealer shows, but woodward is a show that everyone needs to go to at least once. and this will be 2 for me, so for some people more than once

ok another question...what are the categories for this show?

How about Toyota powered vehicles category?

I have a Toyota Powered Lotus Elise - I like to bring to the show and not for a trophy - just to show - it uses a Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine. Is this welcome to the show?

there is a Fashion show we or I for the leart said I would go... so I dunnooooo.....

but it's good to keep our options open

I know that some of us SE;C are going to the Fashion show.. if and only if time permits will make it to the car show......
