This is your lungs without a cabin filter. I just took out the old filter after about one years use. After seeing this, I'm glad I installed one. Give your lungs a break and install one if have not already done so. Follow the links below for more info:

Just ask for a cabin air filter for a Scion xA, xB, or a Toyota Echo. It's the Same filter.
I think that the Rav4 also uses the same filter. They where able to look it up on their
computer.

LOL, not for me. Had it made and installed after reading this thread in 5 minutes. Though I do want to go to Home Depot and get that special filter and use that instead, eventually.

I have been doing the DIY filter for a year. the OEM filter work better IMO. Not for
the $25 the dealer charges you. But for $12 I will buy one. Well two no as the wife
needs one as well. If I buy a case of them, they will go done to about $10 each. I have
been thinking of a group buy for the local club.

I just made two of these for my boxes ... took me about 10 minutes, including figuring out why my glove box wasn't going back in right (didn't have the "feet" hooked in)

Awesome cheap first mod!

Man, that's something, I got a furnace filter a couple weeks ago for my tC, but just haven't had the chance to put it in. I think I gotta do it soon.

Thanks for the pics man.

Default Look outside the box...

My nose's built -in hair and snot filter works better than any paper filter! My higher power modeled it after the K & N.

But seriously,...you all understand that your nose filters out almost all airborne particulate in normal dust conditions....

Ok kids...flame away!

Thanks for the pics!

I finally broke down and got one from my local Kragens. When I got it home I noticed that it said it would fit the Echo and Rav4. As my wife drives a Rav4 I decided to look and see if she had the filter. HOLY CRAP!! It was full of leaf debris and was pitch black. I got one for her car right away.
