Default Question for those with the new Sonar projector headlights..

Perhaps someone who has these can answer this somewhat odd question.

Are the Sonar lexan covers (clear part) interchangable with the stock ones? I noticed that the ones on the older Anzos seem to be...

The reason that I want to know is I want to use my eyelids that for the stock lights one em, and the sahpe of the lexan cover is different on the Sonars... If I can combine the OEM/eyelid cover with the Sonar projector housings that would be ideal

Anyone have both who can eyeball it and see if they would line up?

For reference these are the Sonars I'm referring to-

Thanks in advance.

Well it seems they flare out gradually, versus just right over the turn signal part. That's why my lids won't werk with em

What I need to find out is whether the cover and housing attach the same way, with the same little clips and everything...

i believe they have the same clips in the same locations, they should swap over after some oven time...

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too...
The stock OEM covers have that cool prismatic thing going on over the turn signals, I think that would make the projectors look a little more "factory"... plus I could use my eyelids-

if they don't work you could always get some Vinyl to overlay, or you could make some out of fiberglass, molded to fit over the new housing. kinda a pain in the butt, but it can be done.

What excatly do you mean by that? Are there large gaps between the grill/hood/bumper? Do they 'rattle' around when driving?

Do they not line up well on the side where the bumper attaches, like the Anzo's? Cuz that would be a dealbreaker...

i had a little gap where they meet the fender on the passenger side other than that they were fine, the halos are bright as hell to. the only reason i took them out is because everything i do has to be damn near perfect. If anyone wants the lights i have ill give them to you for half what i paid just to get them out of my garage.

Sonars on the way (thx Petey!) so we'll see if my crazy idea works... If so it'll look pretty sick methinks.
