Default Speaker Wiring Adaptors, Need Help, Did Search?????!!!!

Ok guys. I just bought three sets of new speakers for my xB and I need some help with the install. I am keeping the factory deck for now, and don't want to cut up the factory wiring. I need to get some adaptors to go from the factory wiring plug to the aftermarket speakers. I found these on crutchfield, but they are way over priced:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zReEqfz...&avf=Y&search=

I did some searching and found the part number of TA02 from Scosche. I looked on Sounddomain.com and they looked like a wire harness for the head unit, not the acutal speakers. It may have just been a general pic though. So I need some help, can someone confirm what the correct part number is?? I am going to go to Best Buy tommorow to get some, just need to make sure I get the right thing.

Also, is there anything else I need??? I am keeping the stock sizes for speakers, 4" in the dash, 6.5" in the front doors, and 5.25" in the rear. I know I have to drill out some rivets, anything else I need to buy to help with install??? Thanks.

I might as well throw this in here...

Does the stock headunit have preamp outputs? The salesperson said they do, but I just wanted to make sure. I would like to add a 10 or 12" sub after I get my xA.

You are going to need spacers for the front .75" - 1.0" depending on the depth of your 6 1/2". I believe you will need them in the rear as well. The factory speakers are mounted to a spacer molded togther.

No, you will need a hi-lo converter to convert it into low level signals (RCA). BTW dont get that cheesy one on ebay, get an adjustable one.

Best buy won't have them. Besides, they don't work. I bought and tried 4 different speaker harnesses, none of which worked. I wound up cutting the factory wiring and making my own harnesses. If you want to wait about a year, they might come out with something for the scion, but don't hold your breath.

Yes the adaptors will work for the rear and door speakers, but the dash speakers, you need to cut them. They use a different type of plug.

A set of speakers that I have installed in the XB with no problems were alpines sps-170a, which is a 6.5 coax. It come with a mounting adaptor, and costs about $100.

Those are the speakers that I got also. I haven't taken them out of the box yet, but if they have a bracket that is great. I read some posts that said the back speakers fit without a spacer, same with the 4", so I should be ok if the Alpine speakers have the bracket with them. I guess I will just cut the plugs on the speakers and not get the plug adaptors. For almost $40 I don't think the adaptors are worth it anyway. I guess if I had an install shop put them in they would cut the plugs also, so I guess that is just going to be the best I can do. Thanks.
