Default this is a heavy choice

so my color has came into my dealer already and they have it in auto and manual. i had originally put a deposit down (first one at my dealership) to get a 5spd and only 5spd. but a couple days ago, i severely sprained or possibly broken my left ankle so i cant drive stick for now. but now my car has came in and i need to act quick. i can either tell them to hold it off for me but i dont think my color and 5spd will be available when my ankle heals. which is still a question mark at this point because im gonna have it x-rayed today.

so should i wait for the car with the tranny of my choice or just get auto now?

i can think of 4 scenarios right now

1. i get stick, but cant drive it at ALL for possibly 2 months.
2. i get auto, drive all i can but it still wont be stick.
3. i wait till my ankle heals and they dont have my color and tranny of choice so i have to wait even longer
4. or they do have it when my ankle heals, and i do end up getting my choice.

scenario 4 looks unlikely because i dont know how demand is gonna affect that.

yeah this fu-kin sucks :

just wait

you wont be happy if you got the auto and your first choice is 5 spd

more stock will be avaible later

Default ummm....

here is my take, you should get the car that you want in 5 speed, and since you cant drive it right now, have someone drive it to your house and put it in the garage, and let it sit until u get better....thats what i would do....

this is the more logical choice but i really. really want it now and now im thinking that auto may not be such a bad 2nd choice after all because im in socal and theres always traffic.

i have no garage so it would sit in my driveway. it would also haunt me everday for the time that i cant drive it. so i dont know about that one too.

I would still get the 5 speed. You dont want to regret an automatic for the next 6-10 years if a manual is what you really want. You have waited this long, another couple of weeks will not be that bad.

Default heavy choice

get the 5spd. box in the color you want, then go rent a storage unit for the duration of your healing period. you will know your box is safe & sound plus it won't be in your face till you are ready to drive it again. :D

Choice 5:
Get the auto and change the transmission to manual when your ankle heals. I wonder how much it costs to do that?
But serioiusly ... wait for ur car.

I'd wait... They'll get manual in your color again, plus gives you longer to save up the down payment

Default umm

so many options, i think really u should wait until your ankle heals, and then go on a search for your 5 speed in the color that you want....its not like its a limited release or anything.....if it was, better pic that ____ up really fast....hahah

get the 5 speed now and shift with one of your crutches

seriously though, this clutch is a beautiful thing compared to my wrx...so smooth and precise. i would wait and get the 5 speed when you're healed

I would get it now and wait til your ankle heals.

By that time, you won't have to wait a couple weeks, months, whenever until your model comes in again.

Or you can wait, tell me w/c Scion dealer this is in OC and I'll buy it j/k
