What about adding in an LED to the housing or even a mini cathode. I think that would give you the look you are after. As for legality of green driving/head lights... I don't think that one is legal.

I asked my Seargent, and he said colored headlights are illegal in all 50 states.

You can get busted for having colored turn signals in almost every state. I would say it would be a bad idea unless you were within a couple minutes of the show and wouldn't be on the road more then a few minutes. Even then, I wouldn't risk it.

EDIT.. I mention the turnsignals realizing that isn't what you are asking.. But mainly to point out that if they are busting people for that, then headlights have to be even more enforced. I actually remember people on the Focus forums a few years ago that got hassled for Sylvania silverstars in certain states.

I think green is reserved for emergency vehicles. All colors seem to be illegal on your car except for amber and white - last i heard. Kinda boring...

I have 8500 super white (whiter than silverstars) and they are said to be DOT approved.

But who knows...

Cops are usually pretty cool about that stuff anyway - unless you're mean to them. ;-)

If you add one or two LEDs in the headlight would it really show that much if you have the headlights on while driving. Would it just kinda drowned out the color except for a little?

First of all, HOLY BACK FROM THE DEAD!

Second, this is a mod designed for show use only. You shouldn't drive with these lights on due to the obvious legal issues... however, the headlight will drown out most, if not all of the color, depending upon how strong of an LED you use.
