this topic is almost on par as a lamborghini and a geo metro.... there is no contest for a bone stock tC and a bone stock STI...... i wish people didnt make the tC out to more than what it is. Dont get me wrong, I love my S/C tC! but I know what it can do and I know its not even close to a sports car....

$32k vs. $16k. 300hp vs. 160hp. Hmm.. sorry bud, the numbers just dont stack up in our favor. But maybe a nice turbo may even it out a bit.

Sorry, the STI will pretty much always have the advantage, dollar for dollar.

There, I fixed it for you Petey.. j/k. You would need DR's to help get a 13.1.

But I concur, this is one of the dumbest comparo's I've seen.

2x the price, 2x the power, 2x the drive wheels, i hope your debate wasn't about performance.

Apples and oranges, IMHO. You've gotta spend some serious ching to come close, and even then you have to ask yourself if it's worth it to you.

Me personally, I love my tC - and yea it's worth it to me.

(Then again I probably would've gotten an STi given the opportunity... except for they're SO COMMON now - at least around here.)

i cant understand how we compare cars to eachother. an STi has wayyy more power than even a S/C tC. what is interesting is that i took an 06 STi up to 70 when i was basically stock (injen CAI - he didnt know what he was doing). if the cars are close in numbers and HP/weight ratios, then it would be a good race and either can win. but seriously...how may times have you missed a gear or had it pop out of second, or spun the tires too much...or not at all, or bogged down alitle too much, or hit the rev limiter like an animal? anyone can F up while attempting to "race." but an STi????? come on, no relation to our little economy cars dude...its a $30,000 plus Subaru!

lol who knows...threads like these started a while ago with the seemingly innocent post "my tC is faster than a Corvette and Viper!!!" Idiocracy. the point is dont read them because they will hurt your brain.
