Default 3m paint protector

Has anyone out there try the paint protector for your Scion. I do a lot of highway and have lot of little dent and dings on my front bumper and hood. I've found 3m paint protector which is a clear layout of plastic and wonder if anyone in here have tried it out or not. If you have it it worth it. It's about $250 to cover tC front bumper. Thanks!

I don't think I have the same thing you are talking about, and I just got it today in the mail so I don't know how well it works yet. anyways I got this "clear bra" on ebay thats pretty much 3m tape I think, its just like a big clear sticker sort of thing. Now maybe its not as good as the 3m thing you are talking about but mine was only $17 so we'll see how well it works.

Good luck with that POS. I bought the same thing you bought off of eBay. Sorry, but you wasted your money.

Not at all... But you'll find out for yourself.

I see that you also bought yours off of the same guy I did. It's not even cut right. If you line up the circle on the "bra" with the circle tow-hitch thing on your bumper, nothing else will line up - and that's the part I guided everything off of. And the bra will definitely NOT contour the vehicle, even with a hair dryer.

I suggest buying an actual front-end mask off of McGeorge Parts. Yeah, it is a pain in the rear end, but it definitely works and is fairly cheap. I only use mine on the highway. No rock chips on my front end. Another alternative is the Rock Blocker. I would suggest that if you have the $$. I remember reading a post where the total (including installation) came to $800 or so. The choice is up to you, but you'll definitely find out that clear thing off of eBay is crap.

so should I not even bother putting it on my car and try to return it?? I only got it because it was so cheap, I'm only 17 so I don't really want to be spending hundred+ dollars for just a little "bra/mask" thing. why are they so expensive?
