why would you waste your money on the trd supercharger when

1. people have been getting shafted by trd
2. supercharged 4 cylinders are slow
3. you can get a turbo for same money and more power

that's cute but you still haven't answered my question. have you read the nightmares people have been having with the TuRD supercharger? talked to trevor lately?

Glad you like it guy who I'm not supposed to know.....

And yes I am very well aware of the problems people are having with the TuRD supercharger. Still not stoping me anytime soon actually. Pulleys/headers/intakes/whatnot are not in my plans at all.
I am not looking for a 10sec timeslip, I drive an automatic Scion tC.

If I was I'd have gotten my aunts 'teg or that one supra that I saw on sale before I got the tC.

My brother has the integra and a funky civic hatch now actually so I can go blow engines with him, and leave my car nice and drivable.

trevor's car is stock with the trd and exhaust and now it has a cracked housing. that with their reluctance in upholding their warranty kind of screams buyer beware.

just asking why you would get that when there are other options out there.

and just because you turbo your car doesn't mean you'll blow an engine. you can blow it with the trd just as easily.

OK, this is just plain retarded... Go ahead and get the S/C... I am on my second S/C and am having problems with that.

TRD is constantly blaming the techs at the dealerships for the problems.
Well, I am just hoping things go right for you, but there is no reason for everyone getting on Black_MZ3s azz..
Seriously start trying to flame me because I really dont care...

am I?

Black_MZ3, I didn't mean that i would put a turbo on and immediatley grenade my motor

and trev i though it was just the bracket that broke, its the whole houseing now huh? if your stock then they should not be making you pay for anything, if TRD is blaming the dealership for bad install, then the dealership should be paying for it.

all the current problems are only with the manual S/C tCs for the time being. and the S/C fit kit for the auto has some interesting differences with how it installs on the car. (like the transmission mounts).
I am wel aware of the pros and cons and cons.

It is just the bracket, it isnt the entire housing, but still, it shouldnt happen..
And also, it isnt the pulleys that are causing the problem at all, First they said it was the heat from the header, and now TRD is saying the reason the bracket broke is because the techs overtightened it. I have yet to be able to get out to the dealership, so lets hope they are gonna fix it for free, cause if not, I am gonna have a fit...

you shouldn't and thats crap if you do.

if you want i can point you to the TRD supercharger installation PDF and it says NOTHING about what order to tighten those bolts for the mount. so either TRD is gonna eat it and submit or the dealer will have to pay for it cause they are the ones who installed it.

and you know the auto fit kit comes with spacers for that bracket....
and they are also coming out with a different bracket but who knows how long that will be

oh and surprisingly enough people have been able to order that bracket by itself, the part number is around here somewhere...

and really if you can keep that broken bracket i would go to a shop and have them strenghten and fix it, and also look into why the auto gets spacers....

But the point of the S/C is to be able to buy it from TRD, get it installed, and never have to worry about it. That is why it is offered by TRD.. There should not have to be any researching done by the owner, if you get what I mean.

yea i know and understand,
but its happened and what else am i gonna do and share what i have found out?
the only other thing is to be an ___ and tell you to shut up and whatnot, and i have no reasson to be ____ed at you and do that.

i wish you much luck and really see no proof that they might have to make you pay for a new bracket.

Well, just to be technical, they are subsidiaries of there mother company. i.e. TRD for Toyota, MazdaSpeed for Mazda, Mopar for Chrysler, and AMG for Dailmer Benz...
It is cosidered factory tuned performance.

Just letting you know.
