I am installing a Magellan Roadmate 300 in my '05 xB. The GPS is powered by means of a cigaretter lighter adapter. I will be taking off my center guage bezel on the top of my dash and routing the wires behind the dash towards the cigaretter lighter.
However, I want to remove the oven so that I can get to the cigarette lighter wires and solder in another cigaretter lighter adapter (behind the dash) so that I can use that plug to plug in my GPS. Therefore, the wires from the GPS would be hidden behind the dash, the new plug would also be behind the dash, and I'd still retain use of my factory cigaretter lighter.
Anyway, I need to remove the oven so that I can get to the wires. How do you remove it?
I saw some threads on removing the xA oven but found nothing on the xB when searching "oven" "oven removal" "dash removal", etc.
think it just kinda 'pops' in/out.... dont think there is anything to unscrew
once you get the silver trim peice off (see tech section for stereo install or hvac light change) you should be able to remove it w/just a bit of effort

Thanks. That was my initial thought but I figured I'd post here and ask before 'yanking'. With my luck, I'd end up breaking something!
So I went out to the toaster and gave the oven a little tug and voila, it popped right out. I was surprised at how easy that was. I guess I was just paranoid that there'd be a fastner or something else in there keeping it in place.
So for anyone reading this thread, just pull on the oven with even pressure and it'll pop out.
