Ok, I saying good/bad regarding glare. I have HIDs as my lowbeams and they do glare a little bit. To anyone that has done HIDs in the fog lights, does it glare a lot?

I already have 6000K HIDs for low beams and was thinking about 8000K for my fogs (more blue).

Anyone?

i bet in the OEM fogs it wont be too bad. i mean lok where the stock fogs put the light beam... its all on the ground anyways.

what's closer to the ground mmeans danger to water....
why not do an HID retro that utilize the lighting output to have a wider light projection? cars with hids (besides tall vehicles like SUV) does not really need fogt lights

w/e i havent had a problem with water with my fogs (oem) and im lowered on hotchkis. then again i might not completely understand what ur goin at...

 

i will never understand why people put HID's in NON HID compatible headlights. You need a TRUE projector. IMHO, its really not smart and dangerous to the other on-coming traffic. The light scatters all over the place and is not directed where its supposed to be, or atleast in a direction form that you get from the projectors. No offense to those that have them in thier rides without the projector, its just not practicle... YES you get a crap ton of light output, but without projectors it doesnt work properly, and you run the risk of frying something if you are not careful...

Again my opinion and not to flame those that have them...

But to have them in your headlights, and fogs its a bit of overkill if you ask me...

 

You don't risk frying anything without projectors... You're just putting out some light in undesired directions..

 

i agree with this. a big debate back when i owned my 96 thunderbird was with the guys(tccoa.com) that put hids in the headlights that it was murderous to oncomming eyes because the headlights came out even before HIDs were used in everyday cars. and even to think of putting hids in fog lights, i mean yeah its a cool idea, but its unnessesary IMO. unless you wanna get flashed at by oncomming traffic and risk getting a ticket in some area. also depands what tempereature your gonna run too.

 

i know a certain HID kit that i've seen submerged in an aquarium with live swimming fish... i think for at least that kit.... water's no problem...
