darkest blue possible isnt a good idea. although it'll look cool for the people that pass you...it wont look cool for you when you can't see the road. either get 6k or 8k....8k is more blue, 6k is more white, but at least you'll be able to see. and no offense...but the luxury look isnt having dark blue/purple...its having the crisp deep white that bmw's and other luxury brands are known for.
Here are the upper kelvin bulbs, as most folks point out above 8000K the lighting is not so great but if it's the look you want to each their own..
this is a 14000K setup...

those pictures do no justice! 10-12k will be straight up purple! UGLY as hell too and you'll be getting yourself some tickets quick. You want a real HID kit you do a retro.
