I'm looking for a Gas Door Cover. I'm THINKING about doing this, not too sure yet. I would probably like a brushed aluminum one or something along those lines. I like how the 350Z looks with one....thinking about it for the tC.

How easy/hard are they to install? just curious.....

Maybe we can try fitting in some of the gas door caps we've seen around like the ones from 350Z or from an AUDI anyone?

Well one complicating issue is that there is a bend in the body work that goes through the gas cover. I'm sure a part made for the tC would be fine, but it's unlikely anything not made for it is going to look at all good. I'm not sure if I'd go this route though. Maybe on a lighter car it would look good, but on a FM, I think it's just a really big fuel door and something metallic might stick out like a sore thumb. But just the same, I'm always interested in more accessories ;0

i want something with the look of the 350 z but made for the tc. no decals. i don't know. MORE ACCESSORIES!!!!!

 

If anyone replaces their stock gas door cover for a black sand pearl tC with something else, I'd love to buy it. Somehow, I suspect perhaps by a passing individual's fist while parked, my fuel door cover was dented. Since nothing else was, I'm at a loss for any other explanation for how that would happen.

It might just be able to be popped out--I was late for work and didn't have time to investigate. This weekend, my passenger side windshield wiper was bent in some strange way, and I walk out this morning to find the gas door bent in.

I have absolutely no drama or conflict in my life and I haven't hit anyone's else's car, so there are apparently some really bored kids in my neighborhood.

 

You should get on McGeorges web site and send them an e-mail to see if this is possible. They have been very good at responding.

i ordered a cf sticker for my gas door from www.randode.com, but if anyone finds the real deal id replace it.

 

I just bought a white tC and the first thing I thought of was, damn I wish I could get an Audi TT gas cap for it. If you've found any customizations, please let me know.

from what i can see from my 350z and pics of the scion tC, the bends are completely different.

 

the tc has this abrubt curve in that area of the car... I think that a company would have to custom make something like that.

 

There was a guy around selling CF gas doors for a while, but they were a ripoff.

He was charging like 90.00 for them.
