Default Huge Dilemma...

I need to know what I should do... I'm a student with a part time job and married. I have some money now. I can live well enough for now. In february I will get $2,500 that I have stored. But it still 2 months away. Now they are selling to me a brand new, never been used, still in the box Supercharger kit, for $1,200. The guy has some connections on a Toyota Dealer and and his family bought him the Supercharger and he has a new one in his hands also. He is willing to give me the S/C for $1,200. Now, I have the money for now, but I'm afraid of buying it because I might need the money later on till february, and because of all the problems the S/C have. Also I don't trust the dealers here with the install since they seem to only mess things up. But I would let them install it because of the warranty. What should I do?

That's what I thought also. Just wait for the money to be completly available without issue, and turbo it.

Don't get it. You have to have priorities and right now, living, eating, and supporting your wife is most important. You're 20 years old and married, so that must mean that you find yourself responsible enough to be married. If so, then you are responsible enough to pass this up. Thats what being married is about, a typical 20 year old would buy it out of immaturity and b/c they have nothing more important to spend money on. I'm sure you're bigger than that.

Who knows, in the near future, she may want kids...a house...a dog...all these things involve having savings...think about it!

(I don't mean to rag on you, but i'm 21 and going to be married next year when i'm 22, so I know what you're going through and sometimes, you just have to pass some things up - even if it is a great offer, its still more than you can afford) I know its not what you want to hear, but such is life!

You got it bro, anyway, life wouldn't be worth living after buying a sc if your girl is anything like mine. I may have some fun with the tC, but i'd better b/c its where i'd be sleeping!

Yeah - seeing all these sc problems recently, i'm glad I stuck it out and went with a turbo... well... going with a turbo. Save up your money first!

I agree with Spect2K3. I'm 20 and am engaged with a part time job. I'm about to be able to start saving a little bit but it's not just your money anymore. (Even though i'm just engaged she still spends "our" money--so goes life ). You're also gonna need a reliable car too. If you're worried constantly about an S/C then you won't enjoy it as much. If you're going turbo then make sure you get everything you need for it for it to be safe. You will need to spend more than just for the kit itself.

So, to sum it all up, I vote don't buy the S/C and save for the turbo.

Buy it... then sell it. 1200 dollars is a great deal; you can sell it for twice that and the buyer would still be getting a good deal.

Buy it and sell it. You could add some money to that 2500.00 you have.
