I was just wondering, since I havent gotten the car yet:
1) Do the LEDs stay on, or do they have a switch to turn them on and off
2) Do the LEDs light up when the doors are opened, and then turn off when the doors are shut
3) Are they REALLY bright, ie: a distraction while driving (this is assuming they stay on)

I'll try to answer the best I can. I have the blue lights.

1. They have a switch with four settings: 1-all off, 2-just under dash, 3-under dash and cupholders, 4-just cupholders (not entirely sure about the order (2 and 4 might be switched) but that's the general idea)

2. They stay on or off all the time according to what you have the switch set to. The doors don't have any effect, as far as I can remember.

3. No, not at all distracting. I find them fun without being overpowering.

Thanks HJane! Yeah, that def. helped... btw, I saw your pics of your tC, very nice... Im getting the Azure Pearl one... I know that color is a little girly... but I like the silver effect it has mixed with the baby blue ;)

 

this may seem like a strange question and prolly nobody will take the time but... how many LED's are in the under-dash tube?

im thinkin i can build this but i want comparable results.. ya know?

 

there are 4 in the end of each tube. They are not very bright though.

 

Anyone know how to fix the LEDs so they go all on with one press or all off with another?

 

^^ you'd have to switch out the switch.

 

So do i just get a rocker switch from one of the advertisements in here and switch it out? anyone know how to do it? Can anyone tell me the steps?
